Following a little uncertainty of whether the famous Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch would return or come to an end, it’s back once again this fall for the entire month of October. Everyone who lives in North Texas is excited, along with visitors who flock to Flower Mound for the fun event. There is no better way to celebrate fall – and Halloween!
This will be the pumpkin patch’s 28th year after Jan Balekian, owner, wasn’t certain whether it would continue due to health problems. She had attempted to sell a parcel of her property where a CVS would have been built to help support her financially with the pumpkin patch, but things didn’t work out as planned. Now Balekian says she will continue on with the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch for as long as she can.
If you were not aware, Country Living Magazine named the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch one of the 25 best in the country last year! With all of the fall decor, bounce houses, pumpkins, hay bales, hay rides and other activities, it’s the perfect place for an afternoon of fun for the entire family. Lots of wonderful photo ops.
Over the weekends you can enjoy food prepared by Texas Roadhouse. New additions to the pumpkin patch this year include a Sheriff train complete with a miniature jail, and Pinocchio along with other new Wizard of Oz characters.
Balekian said she is “geared up and ready to go,” and that she decided to bring back the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch this fall because it is what she loves to do. Thank you Jan!
