At Bud Bartley Homes we take pride in building custom homes in Flower Mound, an upscale community that is always at the top of one “best of” list or another. When it comes to holiday shopping this season, it seems that those who live in this charming city have more to spend per person than any of the other 570 cities included in a new WalletHub survey! Just how much? Keep reading.
Five metrics were used by wallet hub in determining how much money a person could comfortably afford to spend in the cities surveyed; data was obtained from the National Retail Federation, according to reports. The metrics used include debt-to-income ratio, age, income, savings-to-monthly expenses ratio and monthly income-to-expenses ratio.
Flower Mound came in at the top of the list for having the most to spend in their holiday budgets, followed by Sunnyvale, CA, Naperville, IL, Mountain View, CA and The Woodlands, TX to round out the top five. So, what is the average those in Flower Mound can afford to spend according to the survey? $2,761, compared to a national average of about $1,007.
Three other Texas cities also landed in the top 10 list, including Sugar Land, Allen, and Pearland. Seems the state known for doing everything big will have a “big” Christmas holiday season!
The holidays aren’t just a time for spending money on gifts. This is the time of year we spend time with our loved ones, family and friends, count our blessings, pray for peace and slow down just a bit to enjoy what’s most important in our lives.
