Flower Mound Fall Home Creative Decorating Ideas

June 20, 2019

It’s fall, a time when families enjoy the cozy indoors and elements of autumn throughout their home.  Watching a good movie, the big game, or enjoying time with family and friends is what it’s all about. Pumpkins and plaid aren’t the only things that add the feeling of fall to your indoor spaces!  Our Flower Mound custom home builders have a few decorating ideas we think you will enjoy.

In the dining room, spice up the table with gold candlesticks paired with rust colored taper candles.  Toss a few mini pumpkins and acorn string lights into a rustic shallow dish as a centerpiece, and fall has arrived at the dining table.

The kitchen will have you feeling all warm and fuzzy, and considering many families spend a lot of time in this space, that’s important!  Have a few mason jars? Wrap them in burlap with a little glue, then paint on pine cones, pumpkins, leaves, and more. Throw a fall-inspired rug in front of the sink, add a couple of pumpkin pie, warm cider, or hazelnut scented candles, and enjoy.

Have fun decorating the living room for fall – there are plenty of opportunities in this room!  Plaid throws, layered accent pillows incorporating fall hues of deep red, gold, green, and terra cotta, strategically placed throw rugs; the possibilities are endless.  Think plants that bring the fall indoors, warm candles, pine cones, leaves, and small pumpkins on the mantle.

The foyer is what those who enter your home will see first, so be sure to spruce it up for fall.  An earthy wreath incorporating autumn foliage and blackberries, a small table topped with a fall-inspired floral arrangement, wood pumpkin, and candle.  Be creative and make it yours.

These are just a few of the many things you can do to transform your Flower Mound home to fall.  Fall is a wonderful time of year, bringing in crisp, cool outdoor air along with gorgeous foliage we welcome following the hot, humid days of summer.  Happy fall from our family of custom home builders to your family!
