Flower Mound is an upscale suburb of Dallas, one that continues to grow in terms of employment, community and popularity. As custom green home builders who have designed and built homes in this prestigious city for years, we’re always excited to hear about new companies and businesses moving in! One of the newest is Thirty-One Gifts, a direct-selling company that will reportedly bring 650 jobs to the area beginning early next year.
Known for its handbags, totes, jewelry, accessories, home decor and more, Thirty-One Gifts is moving its national distribution center to Flower Mound from its current location in Columbus, OH. News reports claim the new distribution center will be located inside the Lakeside Business District at 951 Garden Ridge Blvd., where the company will lease more than 650,000 square feet of space.
Fulfillment operations are anticipated to begin in April of next year, while hiring for employment positions will begin in January when key employees will make the move from Columbus. Thirty-One Gifts did invite workers at the Columbus distribution center who were interested to relocate to the DFW area.
The company will be the second-largest private employer in Flower Mound according to Molly Fox, the city’s Director of Communications. It is expected that collection of sales tax will result in annual tax revenue of about $200,000.
Flower Mound Mayor Steve Dixon said quality companies are attracted to the DFW area for a number of reasons including major roadways, a strong economy and close proximity to the DFW Airport. The mayor welcomed the company and extended the city’s support of Thirty-One Gifts’ continued success as it expands.
Our team of Flower Mound custom home builders welcome Thirty-One Gifts and wish the company great success!
